Looking for something fun to do? Considering the Dallas/Fort Worth area is one of the most populated in the United States, we do not have a shortage of things to do! Here are some of our favorites:

1. Top Indoor Activities

Let’s start with things to do inside a cool climate-controlled environment. With summer already here it’s about to get even more hot and muggy. So, why not step into an air-conditioned environment and make your first stop at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science? The Perot museum represents fun for the entire family. Even adults will find some wonderful things to do there and maybe learn a new thing or two in the process. Some cool activities at the museum include:

  • Racing a Tyrannosaurus Rex
  • Enter robotic competitions with your friends
  • Experience simulated natural disasters
  • Journey through the stars

The Perot Museum is a large, 5-story facility with hands-on exhibits and other interactive features. You and the family will be all smiles by the time you leave.

Next up is the Dallas World Aquarium. Sure, we’re landlocked here in Dallas, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have access to some amazing underwater sights. And the Dallas World Aquarium offers just that. Opened in October 1992, the Dallas World Aquarium has undergone a series of expansions and updates over the years, now making it one of the largest indoor aquariums in the South. Not only do they have a delicious restaurant on site, but they also have built up a beautiful cloud forest exhibit and other artificial environments built to recreate gorgeous places like Borneo and Mundo Maya. If you or anyone in your family is an animal lover, a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium might be just what you need.

2. Top Outdoor Activities

Alright, now that you’ve spent some time inside, it’s time to explore Dallas’ great outdoor spaces. Fortunately, there are plenty to choose from. First up, try the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. In fact, the Dallas Arboretum is listed as one of the top arboretums in the entire world. Built on the banks of beautiful White Rock Lake, the Arboretum’s 66 acres include a complete life science laboratory where kids and adults alike can embrace their inner scientist. The Dallas Arboretum also offers an array of popular annual events, educational programs for children and adults, and an emphasis on family-oriented activities. And thanks to their amazing and ongoing horticultural research in their Trial Gardens, they are constantly adding to and revising their gardens to make them as beautiful as they can be.

And finally, one of the most highly anticipated outdoor activities: A bustling theme park! We would be remiss if we left Six Flags Over Texas off this list. Six Flags theme parks are all over the country, and each one offers a unique array of thrill rides, roller coasters, games, arcades, food, gifts, and so much more. New for this year Six Flags Over Texas is Pirates of Spelunker Cave, a state-of-the-art attraction placing guests squarely in the middle of a pirate treasure hunt thwarted by resident Spelunkers.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our list of fun things to do in Texas. We certainly have! Now, if you are looking for someone to manage your properties or association, consider your friends here at PMI Alliance. We are waiting for your call at 214.295.9661.
